Reverse fade wrap?

Mon Jun 02, 2008 8:12 pm

Managed to do this a few times today. Kite in a fade, walking slowly forward then give a little pop and release as the kites nose rises it rolls up in reverse, then unwraps like the yo fade. Not amazing but not seen it before.

Was this on the Diablis ?

It seems (from the vids) to be capable of all sorts of weird moves.

Jason and I where playing with this on the Deep Space a while back, a little like the two pop wrap. Rise up into a fade, a small input and slack and the the kite continues into a reverse wrap, we nearly made it round to the yofafe but not quite. :-(

I have actually been trying this but can't get it to wrap all the way round. It does go for it, but no amount of running forward and blowing at the kite seems to work! ;)

The trick is in there though.

Maybe I should just settle for a half-wrap and spin type move :?

I think it's more down to the right kite/wind/luck combo.

Genius.

A lack of the above will do for any general failings.

Did it unintentionally with a Frenzy Evo last weekend in not a lot of wind.
Nice move.
Reverse yo-fade? A fade-yo?

What's the difference between this and a yo-fade?
Jason.

Nothing too much, the kite moves in the same direction, I guess it's the way the kite starts the manoeuvre. The Yo-fade (as you know) is an aggressive move started as the kite flies nose down towards the ground, whereas this move starts by being gently rocked back from the fade position.
