Saw one recently (might actually be the very same you're talking about; the one that Sam has for sale?). Strange beast with its stiff keel. One of us had it on loan from Sam, and as the wind was very gusty that day, we didn't want to risk damaging it, so we just put it together and looked it over. Quality-wise it looked very well-made. Should be good on the precision side of flying; not sure how trickable it is.

I realise this isn't much in terms of info; others will hopefully have more.

Very rare kite made and designed in Louisiana, USA by a guy called Ray Bordelon (Big Easy kites), most well known for the MEFM, this I think was the last design he made.

He was well known for the fantastic build quality of his kites, going so far as to have custom made fittings, he is also reputedly responsible for designing the turbo bridle.

Doubt it stacks up in modern flying terms but it's a great piece of kiting history and certainly collectable

Great, Marc! It sure looks the one I saw briefly some time ago (did you indeed buy it from Sam?); glad it found a good home!

Only two in the country? Make that 3.

My Dad imported one years ago and I've inherited it now.

I'm a bit of a kite rookie so would quite like some advice.

One of the leading edge spars is snapped. Where could I get this fixed? I'm based in the Midlands. (Nottingham and Birmingham).

I'd like to fly this kite again but ultimately I'm thinking of selling it on. What's the best way of finding interested parties and any idea how much it's worth?

Thanks

1) Highwaymen kites, Hinckley

2) I think you've just told all the right people if you want to sell it.
