Advice on books and videos

Tue Jun 27, 2017 6:48 pm

Apologies if this has been asked before but do you have any suggestions for YouTube videos or an ebook/pdf for how to learn current kite tricks preferably something I could look at on my phone while out?

Thanks

Ewan

Randy's videos are fantastic for more advanced tricks, but for more of the basic tricks you could have a look at Dodd Gross's videos on YouTube:

Dodd's videos look dated as hell, but the fundamentals are still sound.

The only thing you need to be careful with with Dodd's tutorials is that most modern kites need subtler hand movements than you see Dodd using.

More a case of understanding the principles and applying them in context rather than mimicry.

Caught me out a bit as I was learning.
