The side slide is another kind of stall
and when done well it gives a really spectacular effect. The
aim of the side slide is to stall the kite at one side of
the window with the nose up and the wing tips parallel to
the ground and for the kite to slide in this position sideways
across the window...
Flying the kite across the window from
left to right across the window, at the right hand side pull
left to initiate a lef thand rotation, as the wing tips are
heading for parallel with the ground push forwatd with the
left hand th give slack to both lines (but not too much) the
kite should start to slide left. You can control the slide,
that is if a wing tip starts to drop you can raise it again
by pulling lightly on the side that is dropping whilst the
kite is in the stalled state the controls reverse.
