New Tech Kites- New Jam (continued)

Construction:

The construction is sound, and while there has been considerable discussion on the build quality of New Tech kites on other forums I have to say that I'm pleased with it, with no visible defects. While the trailing edge has no leech line to take up the tension and cut sail noise, the kite uses a few pockets near the wingtips which apparently do a similar job.

The kite is framed in Avia .2300 with my only reservation being an odd length used for the LLE - Finding .2300 in 1m lengths is a bit awkward for replacements. The connections on the lower spreaders do have a tendency to slide, being a hard plastic rather than a softer rubber like HQ or APAs which would grip the spreader that bit better. The movement is most apparent at the outer standoff, with a tendency to slide inward toward the spine. A C-clip glued into place solved the problem easily.
